Spam and abuse policy

Wishlistr is a service that enables users to create personal wishlists and share them with friends and family. We take the issue of spam content very seriously and have implemented several systems to prevent it.

Any form of spamdexing or other types of marketing for a product or service, whether legal or illegal, is strictly prohibited on Wishlistr. We have both automatic and manual systems in place to detect and prevent spam, phishing, and illegal or fraudulent content.

When we detect any misuse of our service, we will take immediate action, including suspending the offending account. In cases of spam, we may also report the offending account to search engines and other third-party services to help prevent further spam, on Wishlistr or other services.

All new accounts created on Wishlistr will have a <meta content="noindex, nofollow" name="robots" /> tag to make sure both the profile page and wishlist for the account is not indexed in any search engines. Additionally, all links on both profile pages and wishlists will always have a rel="nofollow, ugc" attribute to mark them as user-generated content and prevent search engines from following or indexing these links.

We believe that by taking a strong stance against spam content, we can create a safer and more enjoyable experience for our users on Wishlistr.
