My Wishlist

  • 🗑️ Trash or Treasure 💰

  • Those clear plastic slide-open boxes that hair ties and bobby pins come in

  • Fabric scraps

Anything in tiny floral/damask/chintz/stripe/check patterns, upholstery samples/scraps, old flannel shirts or pyjamas with small stripe/check patterns, anything pinwale corduroy, taffeta, satin, non-stretch lace.

  • Bits of trim

Non-stretch lace, jacquard ribbon, narrow braid trim, cotton twill tape (any width), string and cord (especially cotton, linen or satin).

  • Patterned or textured paper

Patterned paper from packaging, old wrapping paper and tissue paper; especially tiny floral/damask/chintz/stripe/check patterns or linen textured.

  • Laminate samples

    Any colour, any pattern.

  • Magazine & newspaper clippings

Photos of landscapes & cityscapes (for window views), small portraits or other artworks (for framing on walls). Bear in mind I'm working in 1:36 and 1:48 scale (link is to a conversion calculator if that helps).

  • Thin/lightweight foil

If you have a chocolate or something wrapped in gold/rose gold/copper/bronze coloured foil and there's a decent section with no writing or anything, I might be able to use it. Also feel free to send it to me with the chocolate still inside.

  • Foil containers

I have silver ones already, but if you happen to get something in a gold/rose gold/copper/bronze foil container. You can cut off the sides and squash it all flat with the base for easier postage.

  • Random broken jewellery & lone mystery buttons

Especially chains, filigree, cabochon earring/pendant/brooch settings that stuff has fallen out of, and flat buttons with narrow rim edges.

  • Rigid cardboard

200gsm+ (if you can easily fold it, I don’t want it lol); doesn’t matter if it’s got writing or anything on it.

  • Rigid plastics

Old plastic folders, ice cream & takeaway container lids, old gift cards, that kind of thing.

  • Little metal tins

    From mints/lollies.

  • Textured/embossed rigid plastic packaging

To use for adding texture to clay.

  • Little bits of wood

Dowels, small blocks, thin ply, wooden chopsticks, cocktail toothpicks, paddle pop sticks, tongue depressors, whatever really.

  • Empty thread spools

    Plastic or wooden.

  • 🛍 Stuff You Can Buy 💸

  • Timber veneer offcuts

Some marquetry suppliers sell offcuts and it's sometimes at tip shops or if you find crappy old furniture in hard rubbish and it's flaking off just lift it off with your fingernails haha.

  • Nail art tools

  • Marble nail foil

Needs to look at least somewhat like actual marble/granite.

  • Nail decals and 3D nail art elements

Water and stick-on decals with flowers, birds, feathers, swirls, and delftware style designs. 3D flowers, ornate frames, fruit, vegetables, and anything else you think might fit in my little houses.

  • Temporary tatoos or rub on transfers

Romantic florals, fruits, or birds. Anything that would work as a tiny wall fresco.

  • Uni Pin Fineliners

0.03mm, 0.05mm and 0.1mm nibs in black, brown or grey.

  • Pentel SES15C Sign Brush Pens

Any of the multi colour packs or individual coloured pens.

  • Artline 220 Fineliners

Any of the greens or blues, the grey or maybe the pink (I haven't had a chance to see the ink IRL, but as long as it's not too bright I think it'll work).

  • Staedtler Triplus 0.3mm Fineliners

Any of the multi colour packs or individual coloured pens. Or any 0.3mm coloured pens really, but not 0.4mm because I already have a set of those.
