Say goodbye to the old and hello to the new Wishlistr! We’ve given Wishlistr a sleek and modern makeover, making it an even more user-friendly and streamlined experience.
With this update we’re also introducing a few new things. First of all we’re excited to introduce a grid view option for your wishlist. You can toggle between list view and grid view on the edit page for you list.
We have also given all our themes a fresh updated look. Whether you prefer a minimalist look or something more vibrant, we’ve got you covered. You will also notice that the themes are now integrated with the full Wishlistr experience and not just your wishlist page.
Last but not least, just in time for the spookiest holiday of the year, we’ve added a special Halloween theme to Wishlistr! Perfect for when you want to create that eerie wishlist filled with spooky items 🎃👻🕷️
Let us know what you think about this update and stay tuned for more exciting updates and features in the future.

Our browser button extension is now available for latest version of Firefox (version 48 and up).
The extension will add a Wishlistr button to your browser that you can click any time you are browsing another web site and find something that you want. We will automatically parse product images and titles for you so that adding items is just a matter of clicking a button.
Not using Firefox as your web browser? We also have the same extension available for the Chrome and Opera browser.

We recently did a smaller refresh of the external account login experience and took the opportunity to also add login with Facebook and Twitter options for Wishlistr.
You can now easily sign up and sign in with your Facebook or Twitter account by clicking their icon on the external account login page. If you already have an account on Wishlistr and want to connect your Facebook or Twitter account with it (or any other OpenID/OAuth provider) you can go to this page to associate an external account with your current Wishlistr account.

As you might have noticed, things look a bit different here on Wishlistr. We have redesigned and restructured the entire service, to put more focus on what’s most important — your wishlist!
With this update we’re also introducing a few new features.
Firstly, it’s now possible to add an image to each item on your list. Just choose an image from your computer to attach to your wish and it will automatically be formatted to fit nicely next to your items. Try it out by adding a new item to your list.
Secondly, we’ve upgraded our bookmarklet to make it even easier for you to add items to your list from anywhere on the web. The new version lets you add new items without ever leaving the web site you’re on. You can check it out and install it from here. Oh, and did we mention the new bookmarklet also makes it super easy to add images to all the items you add?
Let us know what you think about this update — and stay tuned for more new features coming later this year.

We just made it possible to add items to your list directly from Twitter. If you’re already a heavy Twitter user this means it’s now easy to add items to your list while on the run — directly from your favorite Twitter client!
You first need to connect a Twitter account with your Wishlistr account and then you can add items via Twitter by sending us a @reply, like this:
@wishlistr #add PlayStation3

Now it’s possible to use an OpenID to login to Wishlistr! This means that you don’t have to remember yet another username and password, since OpenID is a system that lets you use the same username and password on all OpenID enabled websites across the Internet. Today thousands of websites supports OpenID and more are getting on board every day. For new users that don’t yet have a Wishlistr account but an OpenID, this means that they can skip registration and sign in directly with their OpenID instead.
But what does this mean for those of you that already have a Wishlistr account? Well, nothing. As long as you are happy using your regular Wishlistr username and password, that is. Both types of authentication systems will co-exist and you can choose which one you want to use. If you have an OpenID and want to use that to login, you can – once you’ve signed in with your normal username and password – associate an OpenID with your account. From then on you can use your OpenID to login.
If you don’t have an OpenID, but want one, you can get it from an OpenID provider, such as myOpenID (it’s free).

Yesterday, Sunday, we reached the milestone of 100 000 wishes on Wishlistr. Hundreds of thousands of wishes added in just over a year is fantastic, and we hope that at least some of them have been (or will be) fulfilled!

Wishlistr was down today between 08.00 – 12.00 GMT. An unfortunate incident at our hosting provider meant that the server that hosts Wishlistr (and a bunch of other websites) went down. The problem has now been fixed and everything is back to normal.
We appologice for the inconvenience and we’re doing everything we can to make sure it never happens again.

We have rolled out a new little feature which makes life a bit easier for all of you that visit Wishlistr often. It’s a Remember me function, which can be activated when you pass through the login page.
The Remember me function means that you don’t need to login with your username and password each time you visit Wishlistr.com – we will remember you. You can read more about how it works on our help pages.

It’s now been a little more than two weeks since the launch of Wishlistr and the reception has been great so far. More than a thousand users has already signed up and close to 10 000 items has been added to the various wishlists. Needless to say, we’re thrilled.
We’ve received a lot of positive feedback (thank you all!), but also quite a few suggestions and requests — many for features we’re actually already working on. So we thought it might be a good idea to tell you a bit about our plans for the future.
One of the new features we’re working on is a linkroll generator, which will give you all the code you need to add a linkroll, with the latest items from your wishlist, to your website or blog.
A few of you have also been asking for a way to have more than one wishlist on the same user account. While we’re not not quite planing on introducing multiple wishlists — we feel that this will make things unnecessary complex, and above all we want to keep Wishlistr simple and easy to use — we are in fact working on a solution that will let you split your wishlist up in to categories and in effect give you the power to set up several different wishlists. Our solution involves something that is very popular among web apps these days — tags.
But more on this later. For now, look forward to the linkroll generator which will be added to the tools section in the next few weeks.
