Your wishlist
How do I add an item to my wishlist?
Answer: Simple. Click the “Add item” button on the edit page. In the form, the Title field is the only one that is always required to fill in, but if you’d like you can also add a link, a comment, and an image.
How can I edit an item in my wishlist?
Answer: On the edit page, move your mouse over the item you want to edit and click the icon that shows up on the right side of the item and then select Edit. You’ll see a form where you can edit the item. Once you’re done just click the Save button to save your changes.
How do I delete an item from my wishlist?
Answer: On the edit page, move your mouse over the item you want to delete and click the icon that shows up on the right side of the item and then select Remove. You’ll see a message that asks you to confirm that you really want to delete the item. Click Delete item and the item will disappear from your list.
How do I reorder items in my wishlist?
Answer: On the edit page, move your mouse over the item you want to move and click the icon that shows up on the right side of the item and then select Reorder. The items can now be reordered by dragging and dropping them. Click the Done button, or click outside any of the items, to exit Reorder mode.
How do I change the look of my wishlist?
Answer: Go to the edit page. From there you can change the look of your wishlist by clicking the theme icon on top of your wishlist. When you click the theme icon you’ll be presented with a range of themes to use for different occasions.
Why are some wishlist images getting cut off?
Answer: By default Wishlistr will stretch images, while still maintaining their aspect ratios, to fit the entire image container.
This works well for a lot of images, particularly images that are square or rectangular in shape with generous amounts of background around the subject. However, for certain types of images, specifically images that are taller than they are wide and have little to no background surrounding the subject, this can result in large amounts of image cropping.
By checking the ”Do not stretch the image” option you can ensure that your image will not be cropped and no parts of it will be cut off. However, this will instead mean that your image won’t fill the entire image container, resulting in various amounts of empty space around it. Still, for some images this is preferable. So, if you’re having issues with an image being cut off, try checking the ”Do not stretch the image” option.
How do I mark an item as reserved or bought?
Answer: Reserve functionality is optional and can be activated for your list on the settings page. On your public wishlist you will see a reserve button for each item that can be used to reserve the item. If you are viewing someone else’s wishlist and don’t see the reserve buttons it means the owner of the list has not activated this feature – tell them to activate it under settings.
Are items automatically removed from my wishlist when bought?
Answer: Nope. Items are not automatically removed. If you want to avoid duplicate gifts we recommend you activate the reserve feature for your list (See “How do I mark an item as reserved or bought?”).
Can I share the list with my friends and family?
Answer: Of course. Just give them the address to your list (your friends do not need to have a Wishlistr account in order to view it). You can also use our share tool to easily send out an email or share your list on different social networks.
What is the Wishlistr browser extension, and how does it work?
Answer: The Wishlistr browser extension is a convenient tool that makes it easy to add new items to your wishlist while browsing any website. Let’s say you’re exploring a web shop and find a product you’d like to add to your wishlist – just click the Wishlistr icon in your browser’s toolbar. Instantly, a form will appear, letting you post the item to your wishlist.
The extension will automatically include the link to the item and allow you to select from images on the page. If you’ve highlighted any text on the page, it will be automatically added to the title field. Once you click "Add to wishlist", the item will be saved to your list on Wishlistr, and you can continue your browsing.

What are tags and how do they work?
Answer: Tags are small keywords that you can use to organize your wishlist items. Read more and see some examples here.
What is RSS?
Answer: RSS is a standard format for delivering web content. By using an RSS-aware program (called an aggregator) you can keep up with all your favorite websites by checking their RSS feeds and displaying new items from each of them. Read more about RSS here.

What should I do if I forget my password?
Answer: Go to the login page and click the Forgot your password? link. Use the form on that page to reset your password.
What should I do if I forget my username?
Answer: If you don’t remember your Wishlistr username you can use the password reset page to retrive it. Enter your email address and click the “Reset password” button. Both the email that you will receive and the confirmation page will mention the Wishlistr username for your account. If you remember your password and don’t want to change it, you can delete the password reset email that was sent to you and just go directly to the login page to login with your username and password.
Note that your username is different from the email address you used to register. So do not try to login with your email address as username – it won’t work.
How do I change my password?
Answer: Go to the Edit Profile page and click the change password link. Use the form on that page to change your password.
How do I change my user image?
Answer: Go to the Edit Profile page and click the upload a new image link. Use the form on that page to upload a new user image.
I’ve uploaded a user image, but I can’t see it. What’s wrong?
Answer: If you can’t see your new user image even though it says “The new image has been uploaded”, it’s probably because the old image is still cached in your web browser’s memory. If you reload the page your new image should show up. If you’re still having problems, please contact us.
What is OpenID and OAuth?
Answer: OpenID and OAuth is an open standard for authorization that lets you use the same username and password on all OpenID/OAuth enabled websites across the Internet. This means that you don’t have to remember different usernames and passwords for different sites. The most common is to use your Facebook, Google or AppleID account to login to other websites.
You can use OpenID and OAuth to login to Wishlistr — you don’t even need to have a Wishlistr account, just sign in!
If you already have a Wishlistr account but want to use your external OpenID/OAuth enabled account to login instead, you can. Just sign in with your normal username and password and visit this page to associate an external account with your Wishlistr account.
However, you don’t need an OpenID or other external account to use Wishlistr. You can still create an account the regular way and login with a username and password, if you prefer.
How do I block users from following me?
Answer: Go to that users profile page and click the gear icon (to the right of the “Wishlist” button). This will open a menu where you have the option to block the user.
Blocking a user means that the user won’t be able to follow you on Wishlistr. It also means the user won’t be able to view your profile or wishlist while logged in. If you block a user that is already following you that user will be removed from your followers list.
How do I cancel my Wishlistr account?
Answer: Use the form on this page to cancel your account.

Answer: If you find something on another users profile, or elsewhere on Wishlistr, that belongs to you, or a client you represent, you can report alleged copyright infringement here. It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with applicable intellectual property laws.
