With Fran out of work for several months this year, and Carl curtailing his ministry to be there for her and Rhiannon, money is tight for us. One way you can help: buy handmade scarves by Fran or books by Carl. They make great gifts! Email us for details.
Gift Cards for Food or Groceries
We don't need prepared food or perishable gifts — our refrigerator is full! A good alternative would be gift cards/certificates to Chipotle, Rainbow Foods, Whole Foods, Kroger, Jason's Deli, Uncle Maddio's, Doc Chey's, or Mediterranean Grill.
Drywall Repair
We've lived in our house for over 17 years now; over the years, the walls and door frames have gotten banged up from occasional wheelchair bumps and scrapes. If you're the handy type, we'd love some assistance in repairing the damage.
Yard Work
Over the years, our yard has gotten a little "wild"! We have ivy that needs to be removed from the house and patio, bushes that need trimming, even a tree that needs to be removed. If you love to putter in the yard, we'd love to fix you lunch!
Decluttering and Organizing
We'll admit it: we're both packrats. We promised Rhiannon we would take care of ourselves, so we want to organize/declutter our home and set up Rhiannon's room as an art studio. Are you a clutter buster? An organizing maven? We could use your help!
Paint/Repair the House
Our house is brick, but the exterior trim needs painting (and some of the soffits need replacing). This is a big job and will require plenty of scraping and working on a ladder, so it's not for beginners.
Holistic Body Work
A therapeutic massage, shiatsu, or hot stone therapy: such pampering would be a real treat.
Spread the word about Carl's ministry
Carl is a full-time writer, speaker, & retreat leader, looking to expand his travel to churches and retreat centers where he can share his love for God — and prayer. If you know of places where he could speak or teach, please put in a good word for him.

Carl's car needs new tires. Fran's wheelchair-adapted van needs a new home, and she'll need a new car. Our house needs some structural repair. Any gift along these lines, large or small, would be "above & beyond" — and would leave us profoundly grateful.

Fran and Carl are the parents of Rhiannon, who was born with polycistic kidney disease and suffered a stroke when only 3 years old. Rhiannon passed away on August 30, 2014, age 29.
At the urging of friends, we have created this "wish list" for those who would like to connect with us during our time of transition and grief.
Frankly, it's not easy for us to ask for help in this way. Our families taught us to be self-sufficient. But we know that people loved Rhiannon and want to express that love, and if we're honest with ourselves we recognize that we can use the help. So we have created this list as an expression of our humility and our need. Any gift, no matter how large or small, will fill us with gratitude.
We believe in paying it forward, so of course all gifts will be inspiration for us to share with others as the time is right to do so.
